Anti-Problem: Normal shop and commercial door systems (non-FloodGuard UK) are made without a threshold across the bottom of the doorway, this gives the advantage of allowing unhindered access for customers (no tripping or falling over the threshold plate).

The disadvantage is that all shop and commercial door systems (non-FloodGuard UK) also allow free access for floodwaters to enter under the door as their is no adequate seal at the bottom of the door.

The 'FloodSafe' Door System allows the doors to seal against flood upto the full height of the door across the bottom of the doorway still allowing free access and no threshold plates.

The below photograph shows one of FloodGuard's Hydraulic Barriers that had recently been installed at Whiston Hospital in Merseyside.
